Privacy Policy

Rundesk is published by TMAROIS, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Rundesk desktop app and this website, rundesk.app. In short: Rundesk runs on your computer, has no account, and does not send us your projects, your terminals or your agents’ work.

The Rundesk app

Everything you set up in Rundesk — workspaces, projects, commands, saved terminals and their notes, schedules, skills, agent settings and the saved screens of your terminals — is stored in a database on your computer. We never receive it.

Anonymous usage data, and how to turn it off

To learn which features people use, Rundesk shares anonymous usage counts: that an agent or terminal was opened, a command started, a schedule or workspace created, a project or skill added; which kind of agent was opened, such as Claude Code or Codex; how many workspaces and projects you have; and the app’s version and operating system. Each computer is counted by a random ID made only for this. It never includes names, folder or file paths, prompts, code, or anything your terminals or agents show.

The counts are sent to Google Analytics, only while you are online, and handled under Google’s privacy policy; they are not used for advertising.

Rundesk has no crash reporting, and it does not read what your terminals or agents print.

Besides usage data, the app connects to the internet for one purpose of its own: checking for and downloading updates. It asks GitHub, where releases are published, whether a newer version exists. That request carries your IP address and standard request details, such as the app version and your operating system, and is handled under GitHub’s privacy statement. We do not receive a list of who checked.

If you turn on backups, Rundesk copies its database to the folder you choose, such as iCloud Drive. That copy is held by whoever provides that folder.

Coding agents and other programs

Rundesk starts the coding agents and commands you choose, such as Claude Code or Codex, in your own project folders and under your own accounts. Those programs connect to their own services, and what they send is governed by their providers’ terms and privacy policies, not this one. Rundesk does not receive or store their requests.

This website

rundesk.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and records details such as the pages you view, the site that sent you, your browser and device, and your approximate location from your IP address. Google handles this data on our behalf under Google’s privacy policy; it is not used for advertising. You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Like any website, the servers and network that deliver it also record technical details of each request — your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time — to operate and protect the site. These records are not used to identify or profile you, are deleted after a limited period, and are not sold.

Download links lead to GitHub, which handles those downloads under its own privacy statement.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. Beyond the app’s usage data and the website’s analytics, which Google handles for us, we disclose information only where the law requires it.

Children

Rundesk is a tool for software developers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date above.
